The Lexel model 810
modelocked Ti:sapphire laser is a commercial ultrafast pulsed laser. It is
compact in size, efficient and has options including CW, picosecond, and
femtosecond operations installed in the same unit.
The pulsed operations can be
initiated with standard AO modelocker, with passive semiconductor saturable
absorber, or just with free-run (femtosecond operation).
The
adjustable femtosecond pulse width and the wide wavelength tunable range allow
fine tuning of the laser to meet the needs of the application. Two sets of
optics are used. The advanced cavity design results in a stable and low-noise
laser performance for many days even in free-run operation. Other benefits
include temperature stabilized TE cooling, sealed and N2 purged laser case design
for ultra stable operation, and quick switching between CW, picosecond, and
femtosecond operations. The laser can accept any power from 4-10 watts of
multiline argon or green DPSS lasers while maintaining a guaranteed peak
efficiency rate of 12%. |
